George T. Erbe, a 50 year resident of New
Rochelle, died on April 20, 2014. He was 82 years old. George was born on February 7,
1932, in Jersey City to the late George and Lillian Erbe. He graduated from St. Peter’s College, and earned a Masters
and Doctoral degrees in Economics from New York University. George was a Vice President of Litton Industries
and a partner of Betatronics, both in the field of electronics. He served for 23 years on the Board of
Governors of Sound Shore Medical Center where he recently served as Vice Chairman. At
his death, he was Chairman of the Visiting Nurses Association of Hudson Valley. He was a Knight of the
Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusulem Eastern Lieutenancy. He was a member and trustee of
Holy Family Parish in New Rochelle. George is survived by his wife, the former Florence “Beau” Lang whom he married
on September 2, 1964. He is also survived by his sisters Lilyn Pallister and Linda Erbe
, as well as many nieces and nephews. Visiting will be on Wednesday, April 23, from 2-4 &-7-9pm at
Lloyd Maxcy and Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Thursday,
April 24, at 10:30am at Holy Family Church. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Visiting Nurses Association of Hudson Valley.
Peter Maney, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died on April 18, 2014.
He was 79. Peter was born on April 24, 1934 in Bridgeport,
CT. to the late Raymond W. and Mary A. (Clarke) Maney. He worked in retail sales for many years. He was a veteran of the Air
Force during the Korean War. He was a very active member of the American Legion Post 8 where he served on their Executive
Board. He was predeceased by his longtime companion Monica Bond who died four years ago. He is survived by his extended family,
the Bond family, and many friends. Visiting will
be Thursday 5-8pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Friday
10:30am at Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will be private.
